This walkthrough shows how to measure station height, photograph the full installation area, and identify the details that affect fit and installation.
Measure from the lower floor to the upper landing.
Take wide photos of the full stairs, landing, and approach.
Show walls, railings, gates, obstacles, and nearby power.
Note the entry path, indoor or outdoor location, and who will use the lift.
Measure from the lower floor to the upper landing. The rise determines the base configuration; platform, gates, controls, finish, and mounting are then built around the site.

Platform size & travel path
Choose how you enter and exit.
The standard platform is 36 inches deep × 48 inches wide. That size easily accommodates a wheelchair traveling straight through. We describe every layout from the rider’s view while facing the column.
VIEW FROM ABOVE
Column / back = the wall or upper landing sideLeft and right are the straight pass-through sides. The front is directly opposite the column.
Straight-through
Enter on the left and exit on the right—or travel in the opposite direction.
90-degree turn
Use the left plus front—or the right plus front—to create a turning travel path.
Same-side entry & exit
Use one left, right, or front gate or opening and return through that same side.
Gates and openings: Up to two gates are included as standard. Each of the three travel sides—left, right, and front—can be specified as a gate or an opening, including layouts with no platform gates where the final project configuration allows.
